What is to be paid attention by the installation?

A FlashDIMM must be initialized like a hard disk first with a file system described resp. All relevant information for the first use resp. We have put together installation in a folder which you find in the download area.

How can I store a form on the FlashDIMM resp. on the hard disk?

First you must create your forms in an application. You should create this meaningfully with a form designer as for example MegaForm which provides the necessary functional range for an efficient form production. For very simple forms one also can on standard programs like Winword zurückgreiffen, however, with it must count on deductions in quality, form size and compatibility. After the production you print the form about a printer driver HP-PCL5 in a file. Afterwards this "pressure file" must be converted with the program " form and Fontmanager " into a Flash file for the respective Flash module.
Tip: Please, pay attention that there are two different file formats with the Flash modules and you must examine therefore first which you use. First the file must be converted in the required format ALL or FSA. You find other tips and tricks in the download area under the point Form and Fontmanager.

How many forms can I store on my FlashDIMM resp. of the hard disk?

The number of the forms is not limited, but depends on the size of the warehouse medium and the size of the forms. If the forms are constructed by means of form designer, these are 5-10 KB in each case by which approx. 100-200 forms per 1 Mb can be stored.

How and from which programs I can address to these printer forms?

All printer forms are headed about Esc sequences of the printer language HP-PCL5. Therefore every program can head fundamentally for this which is able to spend Esc sequences. For SAP R / 3 systems we have created(provided), in addition, the software AFE which gives you the possibility to use this by SAPscript.
Tip: if you would like to use the forms of Winword, you can do this about the WinWord function "insertion field pressure" with the input of the Esc sequence. In addition you find other information in the WinWord manual.
